ARTIST’S STATEMENT

A great work of art glorifies our world and does justice to what might otherwise be overlooked.  At my best, I want my art to be more complex than merely a superficial recording of a physical likeness, but rather a heightened version of reality.  

ABOUT

Though always fascinated with drawing and painting, my interest in fine art progressed after studying Art History while at Fordham University and later attending The Art Students League of New York.  Mostly, I am self taught.  I want to reflect the tradition of the past masters, but also to renew it and make it modern.  Ultimately, I am grateful for my ability to paint because it allows me to further understand and appreciate the world around me.
